Biography

Ken Baker received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of New Mexico in 2001. He joined the economics department in 2002 and was promoted to teaching professor in 2018. He teaches Introductory Economics, Honors Introductory Economics, Principles of Macroeconomics and Honors Principles of Macroeconomics as well as microeconomics in the Professional MBA program. He is active with several student organizations, including the Economics Club and Delta Sigma Pi professional business fraternity. He has held leadership positions in both the Faculty Senate and Undergraduate Council. Currently, he mentors junior faculty and graduate students and is involved in several campus activities, including the Big Orange Family Campaign, Digital Learning (reviewing online courses) and Peer Teaching Review.
