LaKietha Jackson is the Office of Access and Community Connections’ coordinator of outreach and pre-collegiate programs. In this role, she concentrates on building partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to create pipelines that will aid recruiting diverse student populations. As part of her duties, Jackson leads initiatives in educating and engaging Haslam students through programming and outreach activities.

Jackson previously served as a community liaison specialist for Pellissippi State Community College, in which she strategically recruited underrepresented students to take part in the Universal Pathways to Employment Project. The project consisted of developing relationships with school administrators and community leaders to assist students in transitioning from high school to a collegiate environment. She also served as a case manager for the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services and the Department of Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities, in which she provided social and developmental services to underserved communities.

Jackson is heavily involved in local community efforts that are geared towards youth development and college readiness programs such as Girl Talk Incorporated. She Jackson received a BS in psychology from Tennessee State University and an MA in education and organizational training from Tusculum College.
