Lan Gao
Assistant Professor
Lan Gao holds a doctorate in statistics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and worked as a postdoctoral scholar at University of Southern California before joining Haslam. Her research interests lie in the areas of high-dimensional statistics and inference, nonparametric statistics, asymptotic theory, causal inference and machine learning, and she has expertise in big data analytics, applied statistics and machine learning. Gao has published papers in top journals in statistics, such as Annals of Statistics and is a recipient of the IMS New Researcher Travel Award (2021).
