Biography
Lance J. Kerwin is an assistant professor of practice in the Department of Accounting and Information Management at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Haslam College of Business. He previously spent nine years as a faculty member at Florida State University, where he also served as assistant department chair.
Kerwin has over 30 years of experience spanning software development, systems architecture, project management, IT consulting, executive leadership, cybersecurity and university teaching.
Before entering academia, he built a distinguished career in technology leadership, advancing from programmer and systems architect to executive strategist. He led large-scale software development, enterprise architecture, cloud and SaaS implementations, cybersecurity assessments and multimillion-dollar technology transformation projects for government agencies, higher education institutions and global organizations, including KPMG and EY.
