As director of International Programs and Study Abroad (IPSA) for the Haslam College of Business, Lauren Jacobs is responsible for strategy and growth of global partnerships and engaging Haslam undergraduate students in international opportunities. She manages the IPSA unit, as part of the Center for Student Engagement and Success, which provides personal advising to students participating in international programs.
Jacobs joined the University of Tennessee in 2014 and the Haslam College of Business in 2018. She holds a master of education from the University of North Texas and a doctorate in higher education administration from the University of Tennessee. Jacob’s research focuses on persistence among international faculty employed at U.S. research universities and strategies to improve retention.
