Biography

Lawryn Bevels is a human resources manager at Cooper Steel Fabricators, where she oversees a broad range of HR functions, including recruitment, employee engagement, support, compliance processes and workplace initiatives. She is passionate about employee engagement and creating a positive, meaningful workplace experience. She values building strong relationships and supporting individuals in their personal and professional growth, empowering them to reach their full potential.

As a member of the Haslam Young Alumni Board, Bevels is excited to give back to the university that played such an important role in shaping her career. Throughout her time as both an undergraduate and graduate student, her appreciation for Haslam continued to grow.

She is grateful for the opportunity to stay connected to Haslam as an alumna and hopes to contribute by sharing her knowledge and insight as an HR professional, providing students with real-world insight into the workplace. She is excited to help students build their confidence and prepare for the transition from the classroom to their future careers.

Bevels also looks forward to connecting with fellow alumni, faculty, staff and students, learning from their experiences and helping create meaningful opportunities for today’s students, just as Haslam provided the same for her during her time as a student.

Bevels loves to travel, from concerts to beach trips.
