Biography
Marty Brown (HCB, ’85) is president and CEO of PYA, an accounting and consulting firm headquartered in Knoxville. With nearly 40 years of leadership experience across multiple industries, he has guided PYA to national recognition, including consistent Top 100 rankings by Inside Public Accounting and Accounting Today. Under his leadership, PYA has also been named a “Best of the Best” firm. Brown received the University of Tennessee Alumni Service Award in 2022 and the Haslam Distinguished Alumni Award in 2023. Forbes recognized him among America’s Top 200 CPAs in 2024 and Best-in-State CPAs in 2025.
