Alumni: Class of 2022
Tennessee General Assembly
Office of Advancement
Noah Smith is a Tennessee state representative for District 36, representing Campbell, Claiborne and Union Counties. He is the youngest member of the Tennessee General Assembly. He also serves as an airline pilot with Endeavor Air, a wholly owned regional airline subsidiary of Delta Air Lines, flying the CRJ900. Before entering public service and aviation, Smith served as executive administrative assistant to University of Tennessee President Randy Boyd. His career spans aviation, business, entrepreneurship, higher education and public service.
As a member of the Haslam Young Alumni Board, Smith looks forward to sharing his experience across these fields with current students and fellow alumni. His professional background provides insight into careers in aviation, business, entrepreneurship, government and public service, as well as the importance of leadership, networking and building relationships throughout a career.
During his time on the board, Smith hopes to help students explore career paths outside of traditional business roles, connect with professionals in different industries and understand how a business education can serve as a foundation for careers in aviation, entrepreneurship, government and public service.
Smith is an Eagle Scout and was elected to the Campbell County School Board at age 18 while a freshman at UT.
