Biography
Randy Smith (HCB, ’83; MAcc, ’84) began his career in public accounting in the tax department of Arthur Andersen. After leaving public accounting he gained experience in various industries, including manufacturing, transportation, banking, venture capital, private equity, information technology and healthcare. In 2005, Smith joined a start-up healthcare software company, Censis Technologies, as CEO. Censis grew to be an industry leading SaaS company and was acquired by a Fortune 500 company in 2019. In 2022, Smith retired from Censis and currently acts as an advisor to start-up and entrepreneurial ventures.
Smith is a member of the AIM Round Table, the Williamson County Tennessee UTK Alumni Board, 1914 Society and Archway Society.
