Tara Presnell understands that being a Full-Time MBA student is a full-time job. That’s why, as Director of Operations, she helps handle the day-to-day details outside the classroom, freeing up students to focus on learning inside the classroom. By providing essential services, processes, events, and communication, Tara and her team make it easier for students to balance the rigors of UT’s accelerated, Full-Time MBA Program.
The Operations role begins as soon as an accepted student joins the program, and continues daily through graduation. To help ensure that the program provides optimum value to students, Tara and her team conduct regular focus groups and program evaluations. She uses this student feedback to implement process improvements where needed, and shares any student concerns or recommendations with appropriate staff members. Tara also works closely with academic services to enhance integration and consistency in the classroom.
While Tara’s responsibilities encompass a wide variety of student services’ functions, she particularly enjoys coordinating, planning, and accompanying students on the program’s required international trip. Her global business travel experience and attention to detail fosters a safe, stress-free environment in which students can learn about conducting business in another country.
