Haslam College of Business - Teresa McClung

Biography

Teresa McClung is a senior manager of IT risk and controls at Deloitte, where she leads engagement teams in identifying IT and business process risks, as well as designing, implementing and evaluating the effectiveness of relevant IT and Financial statement controls to address those risks. She focuses within the Manufacturing and Restaurant industries and in addition to navigating the ever-changing regulatory environment and helping clients solve complex problems related to maintaining compliance, McClung enjoys her internal roles as a coach, team leader and facilitator within Deloitte. She was drawn to the field by the challenge of walking along clients as they encounter risks and work to balance efficiency and effectiveness of their internal control environments. She also enjoys the relationships she’s built both internally inthe firm and with clients.

As a member of the Haslam Young Alumni Board, McClung is excited to learn about all that is going on in Haslam and is honored to have the opportunity to give back to a university and college that gave so much to her. During her time on the board, she hopes to contribute to the college’s goal of incorporating real-world work experiences into the curriculum and hopes to broaden her network of mentees.

McClung is an amateur photographer, runner and painter.
