First Year Experience

The Haslam College of Business First-Year Experience Program is the first opportunity for students to study abroad and learn international business concepts. These highly experiential study abroad programs aim to expose students to a variety of businesses and leaders throughout the chosen host-country, where they can learn how unique localized contexts and government influence business practices. During these programs, students will:

  • Develop stronger global communication skills.
  • Challenge their ability to cope with unfamiliar situations and ambiguity.
  • Acquire an understanding of localized business practices and perspectives different from their own.
  • Gain new insights into how business is conducted in other parts of the world.
