
Whit Whitworth
Whit Whitworth joins the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship as a lecturer. Whitworth holds a master of education in health promotions from Auburn University and a master of sports administration from Ohio University. They are currently attending the University of North Alabama for a doctorate in business administration. Whitworth has taught classes in operations, principles of management, motivation and leadership, and computers in business at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Prior to becoming a faculty member, Whitworth coached soccer at the collegiate level for over 10 years, most recently at Mississippi State. They played in the Women’s Professional Soccer league from 2009 to 2011. Whitworth played collegiate soccer for Auburn University and was a Scholar All-American and All-SEC. Beyond teaching, Whitworth is a co-founder of Top Bar Keepers, a soccer goalkeeper academy. They also continue to coach goalkeepers in the local area with FC Alliance and in the region for the Olympic Development Program (ODP).
