What Is International Business?

International business includes all commercial activities that produce and distribute goods, services, technology, capital and/or knowledge among countries around the globe. Increasingly, businesses are hard-pressed to find professionals in any business area with desperately needed international business experience.

Career Opportunities

International business graduates will help firms understand cross-border political, legal, economic, social and financial issues so they can succeed in a global economy. They will possess necessary knowledge and specialized skills and provide a worldwide perspective to help companies maintain high performance in the current and developing global business environment.

Because the Haslam international business program is a double major, you will be uniquely prepared to add immediate value to organizations, leveraging the technical skills of your functional major with the heightened ability to understand and contextualize the added complexities of international and cross-border work.

High School Preparation

High school students should follow a college preparatory curriculum and take their high school’s recommended courses in math, English and foreign language.
