Vol Court is an experiential learning program and idea pitch competition designed to help student entrepreneurs develop a clear, confident elevator pitch through on-demand learning modules and a series of interactive events.
The program begins with a sign-up and feedback session, where students practice their ideas and receive early input. Participants then take on the role of judge during Smokey’s Den, a reverse pitch event where local business leaders present real-world ideas for students to evaluate.
The experience concludes with pitch night, where students pitch their concepts to a panel of judges, receive feedback and compete for a share of the $3,000 Roe Prize.

Each series includes four speaker sessions conducted by successful entrepreneurs and UT faculty and experts.
Vol Court would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsor The Scott and Dianna Roe Foundation.
