Financial Executives International

Internship

Each fall semester, the Finance Executives International (FEI) local Knoxville chapter selects up to four undergraduate or graduate students to serve as FEI Interns for the academic year. Internships are awarded on the basis of academic achievement and community involvement.

Although FEI Interns are unpaid, they attend monthly dinner speaker meetings and meet with senior finance and accounting executives, including CFOs and controllers from Ruby Tuesdays, Regal Entertainment, Mastercraft Boat Co., Jewelry Television, Radio Systems Corp, Kimberly Clark Corp., Alcoa, Bush Brothers & Co., Clayton Bank & Trust and Bank of America, in addition to many other local finance, accounting and investment firms.

Students interested in becoming an FEI Intern should apply within the first two weeks of the fall semester to Laura Cole.

Scholarship

The FEI Knoxville chapter also offers an annual $1,000 scholarship to juniors and seniors in accounting or finance awarded each spring semester. Students are selected on the basis of academic performance, community involvement and an exhibition of the leadership skills needed for success in business or finance.

Applications are typically due by February 15, to Suzan Murphy.
