Specifics & Requirements

The Masters Investments Learning Center facilitates instruction leading to Bloomberg acknowledgements and certificates via its offerings in its Bloomberg Education Software Training programs. Students can get acknowledged in equities, fixed income, foreign exchange or commodities.

There are two courses currently being offered, with a third — Bloomberg Options — scheduled to debut in fall 2018. Bloomberg Market Concepts generally introduces finance and Bloomberg Basics Training teaches navigation of the Bloomberg terminal.

The Masters ILC strongly encourages all students from all majors to start their training with Bloomberg Market Concepts before progressing to Bloomberg Basics.

Why Get Bloomberg Training?

Bloomberg training on a resume indicates to corporate recruiters that candidates have competitive technical and financial skills and can quickly transition to the work environment.

Students receive a certificate of completion directly from Bloomberg at the conclusion of training. This certificate is a valuable commodity in the business community, as Bloomberg is widely considered the gold standard of financial data.

Requirements

Only currently registered UT students are eligible to enroll in the Masters ILC training programs. The charge varies depending on the program and the level and college of the student enrolling. Students have one academic semester to start and complete training. Any UT student may participate in any program, regardless of major or college.

Bloomberg Terminal Assistance

As time and staff available permit, a brief introduction to the use of the terminal will be provided. The Bloomberg Financial Analysts are not available to offer extensive hands-on assistance to each Bloomberg user, but will attempt to give limited assistance when possible.
