Prior to joining the Ph.D. program in 2021, Al-shwaf received a master’s degree in industrial and systems engineering from Wayne State University and worked for General Motors in value chain engineering, global purchasing and supply chain sustainability. Al-shwaf holds a bachelor’s in business administration with a major in global supply chain management and co-major in University Honors from Wayne State University in Detroit.

Anne Dohmen is a doctoral student in the Department of Supply Chain Management in the University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s Haslam College of Business. Prior to joining the doctoral program in 2019, she received a master of science degree in agricultural and biosystems engineering from Iowa State University and worked for Procter & Gamble and General Mills as a controls engineer. Dohmen holds bachelor of science degrees in systems science and engineering and electrical engineering from Washington University in St. Louis. Her research interests center on using supply chain planning to improve firm performance. She has been published in Production and Operations Management.

Chinedu Ufodike is a doctoral student in the Department of Supply Chain Management at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Prior to joining the UT Ph.D. program, Chinedu received a Master of Industrial Engineering and Management Systems at the University of Central Florida. Chinedu has worked as an operations supervisor in the plastics manufacturing industry, and also as a system engineer at Tompkins International on the material handling side of their business. Chinedu holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Nigeria. Chinedu’s current research interest includes supply chain network design, supply chain analytics, and supply chain operations & logistics.

Nadja Vorontsova

Nadja Vorontsova joined the doctoral program in the Department of Supply Chain Management at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville`s Haslam College of Business in 2022. She received a master of science degree in integrated supply chain management from UT and a bachelor of science degree in marketing with an applied program in research methodology and data analysis from Western Carolina University. Vorontsova worked for leading fashion retail and ecommerce companies as a supply chain and operations analyst and held a senior leader role at a unicorn consumer product startup (e.g., a startup company that reached a valuation of $1 billion without being listed on the stock market). Her research in the marketing field has been published in the Academy of Marketing Studies Journal and New Zealand Journal of Applied Business Research. Vorontsova`s current research interests focus on supply chain sustainability, circular supply chains and entrepreneurial decision-making.
