The Online BSBA program provides a comprehensive and well-rounded business education grounded in the academic standards of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and the Haslam College of Business.
Undergraduate Curriculum
Designed for Working Adults
Designed for working adults, the program’s curriculum combines foundational business knowledge with cross-functional learning experiences that reflect the realities of today’s professional environment. Students graduate with both the depth and breadth needed to contribute across organizations and industries.
Volunteer Core
Effective Communication, Expanded Perspectives, and Engaged Inquiries

The Online BSBA program consists of 120 credit hours of business foundation and management courses. The first three are required for all Haslam students.

The Volunteer Core (Vol Core) general education program focuses on Effective Communication, Expanded Perspectives, and Engaged Inquiries. Transfer credit may satisfy some requirements, and any outstanding requirements will be reviewed at your first advising appointment. Courses marked with an asterisk (*) require a minimum grade of C.

- Global Citizen: International (3 credit hours)

- Expanded Perspectives (3 credit hours)

- Natural Science (7–8 credit hours)
- At least two courses from the approved Natural Science list
- At least one of these courses must include a laboratory component

Major and Concentration
The online BSBA combines two areas of interest in 30 hours of coursework. Full-time enrollment (12 credit hours) may be required for certain financial aid. Contact One Stop if you have any questions.
Major Requirements
- At least 24 of the 30 credit hours in the major and concentration coursework must be taken from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
- A minimum grade of C must be earned in every major and concentration course.
