Admissions and Transfer Credit

What are the admission requirements?

  • 24 transferrable credit hours

When are admission decision made?

Applicants receive an admission decision within two to four weeks of a completed application.

What are the application deadlines?

How do I confirm that all my application materials gave been received?

Login to the Go Vols Portal to review a list of outstanding application materials.

Is transfer credit accepted?

Online BSBA transfer students who have earned 24 transferable credit hours. More than 24 hours is welcome; however, 60 credit hours must be earned from a four-year institution as a graduation requirement.

UT’s course equivalency tables show how courses transfer to UT from other colleges and universities. The database is extensive; however, if an institution or course does not appear on the list, then an official equivalency has not yet been determined. I have attended UTK in the past. How do I apply for readmission?

Students applying for readmission should visit this page for the readmission application and information on types of readmission. Readmission to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville does not guarantee readmission to the Haslam College of Business or admission to the Online BSBA program.

Tuition and Financial Aid

What is the cost of the program?

The current rate of tuition is $598/credit hour for in-state students and $668/credit hour for out of state students. Cost per credit hour is an estimate based on maintenance and university fees. Tuition and fees are reviewed annually. Click here to review tuition and fees in detail.

Am I eligible for financial aid?

There are a variety of options for financial aid. Some require the student to be enrolled full-time (at least 12 credit hours) to receive aid while others may not. Review your options on the One Stop website or contact One Stop directly at onestop@utk.edu or 865-974-1111.

Are there any scholarships available?

How do I use my Federal Veterans Education Assistance Program benefits for this program?

Curriculum

How long will it take me to complete my degree?

Time to graduation varies based on a variety of factors including amount of transfer credit accepted and course load taken each semester. After confirmation and orientation, students will meet with an academic advisor to discuss an academic plan.

Will I need to travel to campus?

No travel is required for this program.

Can I double major?

Double or concurrent majors are not currently available for this program.

Are there any minors available?

Minors are not available at this time.

How many courses will I take each semester?

The number of courses taken each semester will vary from student to student. Many of our students work part- or full-time and their course load needs are different compared to someone who is enrolled full-time. Students will work with an academic advisor to determine the appropriate course load.

Do I have to complete an internship?

Yes, as a Management major, you are required to complete an internship prior to graduation. However, students can request to have their internship waived. More information can be found on the Program Requirements page.

Online Student Life

Will I have access to the library and its resources as an online student?

Yes! Online program learners can also engage with subject librarians and request online consultation services, in addition to accessing articles, databases, digital collections, research guides and library tutorials.

Can I buy football or basketball tickets as an online student?

Online students are not charged the Student Engagement fee that is required to be eligible for student athletic tickets. However, online students may purchase athletic tickets through All Vols.

Can I get a VolCard (student ID)?

Yes. Information about obtaining a VolCard will be available during orientation.
