The inability of state and local governments to collect sales-and-use taxes on remote sales is one of the most critical budget issues facing policymakers across the nation. Boyd Center for Business and Economic Research faculty and staff have undertaken numerous projects in this area.
Tennessee Quarterly Business and Economic Indicators
The Boyd Center for Business and Economic Research works with Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett to produce Tennessee Quarterly Business and Economic Indicators. The report is created to provide a periodic snapshot of the state’s economy based on a variety of information, including new business data from the Division of Business Services.
