The BETS program introduces high school students to the world of business.
Business Education for Talented Students (BETS) is a ten-day summer program designed to introduce talented rising high school seniors to the field of business and business-related careers. Throughout the program, students will attend workshops in accounting, finance, entrepreneurship, marketing, supply chain management, business analytics, and professional development, all led by university faculty and staff. Students will also engage in team-building activities, participate in college readiness workshops, and learn from industry leaders. These experiences culminate in a challenging team project, which students will present to Haslam College of Business faculty and staff at the end of the program.

“Regions Bank has been a proud sponsor of BETS since 2019. That was my first exposure to the program, and when I saw the excitement, brilliance and talent of these rising high school seniors, I knew we had to be involved because it hits every point of Regions’ commitment to the community. Every year we continue to be impressed by the eagerness and potential of these students, and we love the collaboration with the UT Haslam College of Business. You never know what lives you are changing when you’re involved in a program like this.
