The Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, has risen seven places over the last two years to become 57th nationally and among the 30 best public business schools, according to a Bloomberg BusinessWeek ranking released yesterday. The ranking is comprised of surveys of employers, current students and alumni of the college’s full-time MBA program. It also takes into account job placements and starting salaries of recent graduates.

“This year’s ranking highlights program and college strengths in employer relations and ensuring our students have outstanding career opportunities upon graduation,” says Bruce Behn, associate dean for Graduate and Executive Education.

Haslam’s standing is underscored by high scores in specific areas, including a rank of 34th among employer perceptions and 21st in job placements nationwide.

Another recent ranking, the Princeton Review’s “The Best 267 Business Schools: 2018 Edition,” found the college’s MBA employment rate within three months of graduation has risen to 92 percent, a 16-point increase since last year.
