Admissions and Transfer Credit

  • Students must have earned 60 credit hours and hold an Associate of Art, Associate of Science, Associate of Fine Arts or Associate of Science in Teaching from a Tennessee Board of Regents institution
  • Students must have a minimum 2.50 GPA

Applicants receive an admission decision within 2 to 4 weeks of a complete application.

Fall Semester Entry

  • July 1: Application completion deadline*
  • August 1: Enrollment confirmation deadline

Spring Semester Entry

  • December 15: Application Completion Deadline*
  • January 12: Enrollment Confirmation Deadline

*Transfer or online transfer applications must be completed by the deadline date listed. A completed application includes application, application fee, official college/university transcripts from all schools attended, and any other material being requested (e.g., international transcript evaluation, high school transcript, test scores, etc.). Missing information and received items are verified through the through the Go Vols portal.

The Online BSBA in Management is specifically designed for transfer students who have earned 60 credit hours and have an Associate of Art, Associate of Science, Associate of Fine Arts or Associate of Science in Teaching from a Tennessee Board of Regents institution.
Transfer credit beyond an Associate of Art or Associate of Science degree is welcome; however, 60 credit hours must be earned from a four-year institution as a graduation requirement.

Students applying for readmission should visit this page for the readmission application and information on types of readmission. Readmission to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville does not guarantee readmission to the Haslam College of Business or admission to the Online BSBA Degree Program.

 


Tuition and Financial Aid

The current rate of tuition is $593/credit hour for in-state students and $668/credit hour for out-of-state students. Cost per credit hour is an estimate based on maintenance and university fees. Tuition and fees are reviewed annually. Click here to review tuition and fees in detail.

There are a variety of options for financial aid. Some require the student to be enrolled full-time (at least 12 credit hours) to receive aid while others may not. Review options on the One Stop website or contact a One Stop directly onestop@utk.edu or 865-974-1111.

Curriculum

Time to graduation varies based on a variety of factors. Many students work part- or full-time so their course load is lighter than those who are attending school full-time. If attending school full-time, the program will take approximately two years to complete. The program should be completed within six years or readmission will be required.

No travel is required for this program.

Double or concurrent majors are not currently available for this program.

The Online BSBA Management with a Concentration in Sales concentration built into the program. Currently, there are no minor options available.

The number of courses taken each semester will varies based on the student. Many students work part- or full-time and their course load needs are different compared to someone who is enrolled full-time. Students will work with an academic advisor to determine the appropriate course load.


Online Student Life

Yes. Online program students can also engage with subject librarians and request online consultation services, in addition to accessing articles, databases, digital collections, research guides and library tutorials.

Online students are not charged the student engagement fee that is required to be eligible for student athletic tickets. However, online students may purchase athletic tickets through All Vols.

Yes. Information about obtaining a VolCard will be available during orientation.
