In the summer of 2019, some 29 grants totaling $694,000 were awarded to faculty members to pursue high-quality research. Now in its sixth year, the Haslam Summer Scholars Research Awards have funded more than $2 million total in faculty research.
“The number of awards grew from 20 in 2018 to 29 in 2019, and the amount of funding grew by more than $260,000, which is a testament to how supportive our donors are of our faculty’s research,” said Charles Noble, associate dean for research and faculty and the Joe Johnson Faculty Research Fellow. “It is rewarding to see so many of our top researchers receive the resources they need to continue their leading-edge studies.”
