Why did you join HYAB?
“I joined the Haslam Young Alumni Board as I am passionate about fostering lifelong connections, and it allows me to give back to the University that shaped me into the student & young professional I am today. Haslam gave me a platform to be a leader, getting to serve in a variety of leadership positions in several different student organizations. The people and the professors that I was surrounded with gave me the chance to lead, conquer difficult tasks, and recover from my failures, molding me into the confident leader I am today. Being a member of the HYAB gives me a chance to make an impactful contribution to the college and its students, and I hope my actions are able to inspire the next generation of Haslam Leaders. I am proud of the education I received through Haslam and want to continue to build upon the culture of excellence that the school emulates. Rocky Top has a special place in my heart, and joining the Haslam Young Alumni Board gives me a chance to make a rather immediate impact on a place that will always be “home sweet home” and help leave the university better than I found it.”
