Haslam College of Business - Scott Trump

Biography

Scott Trump is a Senior manager of global sales operations at Guidewire Software, where he leads go-to-market strategy, territory planning and the internal tooling that supports a global sales organization. Lately, much of his focus has been on building AI-powered tools that replace commercial software and make the business run faster. He likes that the work sits between strategy and execution: he gets to solve a problem and then actually build the thing that fixes it.

As a member of the Haslam Young Alumni Board, Trump is excited to give students honest, practical guidance. He remembers how strange it felt to go from a structured curriculum to charting his own path, and he wants students to know that uncertainty is normal, not a sign they picked wrong. During his time on the board, he hopes to help students think less rigidly about what their major says they are and more about what they are capable of building.

Trump lives on the Florida Gulf Coast and plays golf. He spends his free time building AI tools.
