Shawn Bucher is an experienced business and hospitality professional with a strong background in academia and industry. With over a decade of teaching experience, Bucher also has extensive professional experience, having held executive roles, including chief executive officer, founder and chief operating officer. He has successfully managed and consulted on multiple projects and with many national and international businesses, bringing a wealth of practical experience to his teaching.

Bucher is also a published author and researcher, with contributions to both academic journals and industry trade publications. His research interests include hospitality related businesses, entrepreneurship, strategy and management concepts and the intersection of academic and practical knowledge through the identity of “pracademics.”
