Alumni & Giving

Young Alumni

The Haslam Young Alumni Board (HYAB) Board seeks to link alumni to students, foster a culture of giving, support the college’s goal of excellence in education and foster the engagement of Haslam’s young alumni community. It involves alumni who are 35 years old or younger to promote and support alumni programming and establish a shared sense of community among graduates of the Haslam College of Business. The HYAB meets twice per year: on Fridays in the spring and fall.

Board Member Responsibilities

  • Include Haslam in annual philanthropic priorities
  • Serve as an ambassador, advisor and advocate for the college
  • Encourage alumni and friends to participate in young alumni activities
  • Foster and sustain a culture of involvement and giving back to the Haslam College of Business
  • Enhance the experience of undergraduate and graduate students by finding ways to offer support
  • Provide analysis, advice and counsel to improve the offerings and execution of young alumni activities
  • Support and assist Haslam’s alumni programs in advancing the university and enriching the lives of students and alumni

Interested young alumni can apply to be a member of the board each spring, usually beginning in late February.
