Christopher W. Craighead is the Dove Professor of Supply Chain Management at the Haslam College of Business, University of Tennessee. His primary research interests lie in the area of strategic supply chain management with a focus on supply chain disruptions/risk, continuity and resiliency. Professor Craighead has articles published in Journal of Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, Decision Sciences, Journal of Business Logistics, Journal of Supply Chain Management and other journals. He has been the recipient of several research fellowships, competitive research grants, and research awards.
Professor Craighead has extensive teaching experience in terms of audiences and course content. He currently teaches Strategic Sourcing within the undergraduate program and Theoretical and Research Foundations in the PhD program. Professor Craighead has served as dissertation chair for six students across three universities. He has been the recipient of awards for teaching excellence at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. He has been a frequent speaker to managerial audiences participating in a number of executive programs (open enrollment and custom).
Professor Craighead serves as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Supply Chain Management and Journal of Business Logistics and also serves on the Editorial Review Boards of Production and Operations Management and Journal of Operations Management. He has been the recipient of multiple awards for reviewing and editing excellence including Best Associate Editor Awards at Journal of Operations Management, Journal of Supply Chain Management and Decision Sciences.
