UT Haslam to Host Inaugural Marketing and Sales Alliance Conference and Awards

The Department of Marketing at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Haslam College of Business announces the inaugural Marketing and Sales Innovation Conference and Awards. The event, to be held on the university campus on April 3-4, will feature keynote addresses from UT System President Randy Boyd and Vols baseball coach Tony Vitello.

The conference will bring together marketing and sales professionals in any stage of their career to explore fresh ideas, forge new connections and envision the future of their industries. The event’s award ceremony will honor organizations making a significant impact in marketing and sales.

“All attendees will enjoy plentiful networking opportunities and meaningful engagement with industry trailblazers shaping the future of marketing and sales,” says Rena Ishak, special events and experiences manager in the Department of Marketing. “This event is open to all, and registration is now available.”

Innovative Sessions and Inspiring Leaders

The conference will kick off on April 3 with a keynote from UT Vols baseball coach Tony Vitello. Following Vitello’s address, attendees can then choose from breakout sessions and workshops in four distinct tracks: brand management, digital marketing, nonprofit marketing and professional sales. Day one will conclude with an evening networking event at Neyland Stadium, where conference attendees and Department of Marketing students will mix and mingle in the stadium’s brand-new Lower West Club.

Day two will begin with breakfast and a keynote message from UT System President Randy Boyd, followed by more track-based workshops and breakout sessions. The conference will culminate in an awards luncheon where judges will recognize winners in four categories that reflect the conference tracks and UT’s Volunteer values.

Christine White, director of partnerships and growth initiatives for the Department of Marketing, explains, “Any company or organization can self-nominate or nominate others for consideration in the following categories: the Brand Journey Award, the Sales Achievement Award, the Digital Marketing Innovation Award and the Better Marketing for a Better World Award. The Department of Marketing is honored to host this awards luncheon, dedicated to celebrating the remarkable achievements in our region within these swiftly evolving fields.”
