The University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s Haslam College of Business Executive MBA is rising in national recognition. The program placed No. 9 among public institutions and No. 22 nationally in Poets&Quants’ (P&Qs’) 2023 ranking of college executive education programs. The new numbers are a significant leap from Haslam’s ranking in 2022, which stood at No. 22 among publics and No. 44 nationwide.
Drawing on input from business professionals, the Haslam Executive MBA program is designed specifically to enhance busy executives’ leadership and soft skills, while immersing them in the most current, relevant curriculum in their fields. In addition to the P&Q ranking, the program was recently recognized as the No. 1 most relevant EMBA worldwide by The Economist.
Recognizing Superlative Faculty and Curriculum
Amy Cathey, associate dean for graduate and executive education, attributed the latest P&Q ranking to dedicated faculty who share their broad knowledge, as well as the “concierge approach” the executive programs apply to student service.

Promoting Leadership Development and Success
Haslam’s Executive MBA program includes three specialty areas: Healthcare Leadership (EMBA-HL), Strategic Leadership (EMBA-SL) and Global Supply Chain (EMBA-GSC). Each program specialty allows students to dive into applied issues important for organizational understanding and change.
Through its end-to-end supply chain-focused MBA curriculum, the EMBA-GSC program helps student professionals develop the communication and leadership skills, as well as the vision, necessary to succeed in a global, multicultural environment.
