Paolo Letizia

Paolo Letizia is an Associate Professor of Business Analytics and Statistics and the Ray and Joan Myatt Faculty Research Fellow, at the Department of Business Analytics and Statistics of the Haslam College of Business, University of Tennessee. His research interests lie in the areas of Sustainable Operations, Closed Loop Supply Chain Management, OperationsMarketing Interface, OperationsInformation Systems Interface. 

Paolo’s work has been published in journals such as Management Science, Production and Operations Management, Decision Sciences, and European Journal of Operational Research. He has chaired the track of Environmental Operations and organized several sessions on Sustainable Operations at conferences such as INFORMS and POMS. Paolo has been an Associate Editor for Decision Sciences since 2019. He is also on the editorial review boards of several leading operations management journals. 

Prior to joining the University of Tennessee, Paolo taught Operations and Supply Chain Management at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. Paolo holds a M.Sc. in Supply Chain Management from Kedge Business School and a Ph.D. with dual degree in Operations Research and Business Administration from the Pennsylvania State UniversitySmeal College of Business. Before starting his academic career, he was employed by the consulting firm Accenture, and worked on projects in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, and Customer Relationship Management.
