He is a licensed attorney in the state of  Georgia and Tennessee and a licensed certified public accountant (CPA) in the  state of Georgia. Miranda Davis is the Managing Director of Public Funds at Quintium Advisors in Knoxville, Tennessee, and currently serves as the Portfolio Manager of the Core Diversification Fund. As a member of the Investment Committee, Miranda participates in discussions regarding all strategies managed by Quintium Advisors. As Portfolio Manager for the Core Diversification Fund, she is responsible for the strategic and tactical allocations of the Fund.  Prior to the launch of the mutual funds, Miranda played an integral role in the development and management of Quintium’s limited partnership strategies and was responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the funds. Her main duties included analyzing economic and market data, creating financial models, and providing investment recommendations.

Prior to joining Quintium Advisors, Miranda worked as an analyst for Northshore Capital Advisors, a boutique investment banking firm. While at Northshore, Miranda worked on transactions in a variety of industries including document management, construction, and health care. Miranda’s responsibilities included building financial models and forecasts, conducting extensive industry and market research, and preparing offering documentation and marketing materials.

Miranda graduated from the University of Tennessee magna cum laude, with a degree in business administration, a major in finance, and a collateral in international business. She is currently pursuing an MBA at Columbia Business School. Miranda is a CFA Charterholder.


Ted L. Flickinger, Jr.

In 1984, Mr. Flickinger helped establish  Home Financial Services, Inc., a broker–dealer subsidiary of the bank.  Mr. Flickinger has also held management positions in the investment departments  of The Park National Bank (now Regions Financial) and Fidelity Federal Savings and Loan of Knoxville (now Regions Financial). He has over 35 years of  investment experience.

Bryan Johnson

Bryan Johnson joined SmartBank in 2010 and serves as its Chief Financial Officer.  He is a 1991 graduate of the  United States Military Academy at West Point with a BS in Economics, Mathematical. After college, he attended Officer Basic Training and Airborne School before serving as an Artillery Officer with the First Armored Division in Europe. Following a deployment to Bosnia as the Battalion Intelligence  officer Johnson left the Army as a Captain. In 2000 Johnson received his J.D. and MBA in Finance from the University of Tennessee. Also in 2000 Johnson  received the Chartered Financial Analyst Designation. Following graduate  school, he joined Moon Capital Management, a registered investment advisor.  There he was responsible for the research of investments on behalf of individual and institutional clients. Johnson also worked as an Adjunct  Professor for the University of Tennessee teaching Security Analysis and  Financial Statement Analysis courses from 2002 – 2009. He is the Treasurer of  the CFA Society of East Tennessee and a member of the West Point Society of East Tennessee.

After a brief stint as a High School language teacher in the Boston area, Joe has been in the financial services industry for the past 19 years, all with Fidelity Investments. Having served in a variety of roles, such as advisor, coach, and manager, across a variety of 12 locations, Joe is happy to be back in his current and previously held role of Vice President, Branch Office Manager in Knoxville TN. He holds his series 7, 66, 9, 10, life, health, and variable insurances licenses, along with the CFP®, and ChFC®. Happily married to Kelly, and proud father of 3 great kids, he also stays involved in the community as the CEO of the KiMe Fund, volunteers as a local youth rugby coach, and stays involved with his church community. He previously served as a Torch Fund Advisory Board Member, as well as a Haslam School Finance Department Advisory Board Member.
