Student Engagement & Success

Haslam Undergraduate Business seeks to build on the academic endeavors of students through co-curricular activities. These include student organizations, mentorship programs, and leadership opportunities.

The Student Engagement and Success office is located on the second floor of the Haslam Business Building.

First-year students can apply for signature programs that provide a cohort experience designed to facilitate personal and academic development through study abroad, living and learning communities, and/or honors programs.

Greg & Lisa Smith Global Leadership Scholars

Smith GLS, the Haslam College of Business’ official honors program, promotes international and intercultural awareness, leadership and personal and professional growth through honors classes, seminars in leadership training, international experiences and extracurricular activities.

Heath Integrated Business & Engineering Program

The Heath IBEP unites students and knowledge in UT’s Tickle College of Engineering and Haslam College of Business. Students in the program will develop communication skills and understand how decisions affect the entire organization.

Business Fellows

The Business Fellows Honors Program is designed to provide intellectual challenge for high-achieving, academically minded students enrolled in the Haslam College of Business. The program provides both curricular and co-curricular activities for student engagement.

Study abroad provides students the opportunity to internationalize their degree by living, learning and even working abroad in a variety of ways. Haslam can help students find the right program and navigate the process.

The Online BSBA is specifically designed for transfer students who have earned an Associate of Art (A.A.), an Associate of Science (A.S.), an Associate of Fine Arts, or an Associate of Science in Teaching from a Tennessee Board of Regents institution.

Technology-Enhanced Education works with faculty to create interactive content for classes across the college, offering the flexibility for students to coordinate their education around even the most hectic schedules. The Haslam business minor can now be completed entirely online.
