The OACC offers two initiatives specifically for Haslam College of Business faculty and staff. The Professional Development Fund focuses on continued education for staff, while the Diversity Council involves Haslam faculty and staff in efforts to improve the college’s culture.
Professional Development Fund
Optimizing the individual strengths and contributions of staff leaders is vital to the Haslam College of Business’ success and collective longevity. The Professional Development Fund for Staff (PDFS) is an effort to encourage staff support and workplace excellence through continuous learning, training, and development.
Diversity Council
The mission of the Diversity Council is to be intentional about diversity and inclusion in the Haslam College of Business. Serving as a resource, advisor, and advocate, the Diversity Council works to foster meaningful opportunities that encourage and enhance understanding of diversity and inclusion as critical to business and community success.
Inclusion & Engagement Summit
The Inclusion and Engagement Summit, sponsored by the Haslam College of Business and its Office of Access and Community Connections, is open to all Haslam administrators, faculty, staff and students. This event provides opportunities for attendees to engage in meaningful conversations and learn how to define pathways toward inclusive and collaborative leadership.
Lunch & Learns
The Office of Access and Community Connections holds a Lunch and Learn series to introduce our team, learn about the services offered and obtain more in-depth knowledge of related topics.
