Haslam College of Business Diversity & Inclusion

This two-day course approaches diversity and inclusion as business tools that drive organizational success. Course objectives are:

• Develop a working knowledge of diversity and inclusion as principles that will help you effectively manage people and teams
• Understand the business case for a diversity and inclusion
• Recognize diversity as shaped by culture and reflective of our unique experiences and self-development
• Become more self-aware of the ideas and pre-dispositions we all bring to workplace discussions
• Become familiar with strategies and tools we can all use to minimize bias

Upon completing the course, participants should be prepared to participate in and/or lead diverse teams in ways that encourage communication and sharing of ideas, both common and unique. Participants should be comfortable with the concepts of diversity and inclusion as tools to build and leverage a diverse and inclusive workforce.
