Introduction to Lean Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul

Course Description

This course presents key concepts and principles for managing the MRO process using two cutting edge philosophies: the Theory of Constraints (TOC) and Lean. These two philosophies present process improvement techniques that complement and reinforce each other to leverage the MRO activity and to dramatically improve the organization’s bottom line. The course specifically addresses the low volume, high variation present in the MRO environment. Participants will learn about the four pillars on which the Theory of Constraints is founded. They will understand how to use existing resources to provide better customer value and grow the market.

What you will learn
  • The Four Pillars of the Theory of Constraints.
  • A deeper understanding of constraints caused by policies.
  • How to work with uncertainty in work scope and material requirements.
  • How to apply Lean tools in the MRO environment.
